Meet Rugby. He just landed in Dallas from West Texas where he had a bit of a tough time, so he left town for smoother sailing. Before reaching here, the transporter SHAVED him to the skin. We were stunned as the picture we saw had a coat like an Australian Shepherd. Well, he'll have that coat again in a few months. In the meantime, he's sporting a Marine Buzz. That's kind of fitting because a retired Marine was nice enough to save this fella's life.Found thin and covered in parasites, Rugby was clearly someone's outside dog. He's sure loving air conditioning, and has no intention of giving up his chair! At around 50 pounds, Rugby is the perfect walking companion, and snuggling partner. Rugby gets along with dogs, and tolerates dog savvy cats, and on his second day here has started on basic obedience. He'll have that down pat very soon. He's smart and personable. You can see the scars from his former life, but Rugby is not letting that get him down.He has a bit of an ear missing from a fight sometime in his past, but has NO dog aggression or people aggression as a result. He's learning to play and learning what it's like to have a human smooch all over him and constantly take pictures. He'd love for you to save him from these crazy humans and huskies he's found in foster care. More soon as we get to know Rugby. In the meantime, feel free to contact us for a meeting.
