We are helping search for the road to Sweet Sonic’s home. We know it’s out there somewhere between the Rocky Mountains and the long Florida Beaches. Join us in the hunt for this pudgy white hugger. He is a cotton ball, soft and squishy. He is like a fluffy white cloud floating around from here to there and back again. It is time for him to land in a place he can store his big blue ball. So, let me tell you the story of a boy named Sonic.
He was dumped at a Sonic. Sonic couldn’t offer him a job but managed to give him a burger. He just stayed there. After all he figured the person that left him was coming back. Sonic sat there day after day, and his hopes began to fade as the days turned to weeks. And then, his hope surged. A lady decided to take him in for a rescue. He ended up being put in boarding. It was pretty lonely there because the days once again turned to weeks and weeks turned to months. He did have some fun twice a week. They let him out to play in a big yard and there was a big blue ball that Sonic fell in love with. Sonic would chase that ball, use his head and throw it up in the air and give chase when it came back down. The blue ball made life bearable.
As time passed, Sonic moved in with a volunteer of the rescue. He at least had a home of sorts and Sonic hopeful his life was finally on the upswing. His stay with the volunteer turned into an adoption. So Sonic had a home. After many months things turned bleak for Sonic again. His foster turned owner got sick and was going to lose a leg. Sadly he could no longer care for Sonic and Sonic was once again back in boarding with his blue ball. Four years had now passed and a secure home of his own still eluded him.
Sonic is big, a bit overweight, so could use some serious walking. He is healthy and sometimes thinks he is just a little dog that can sit on your lap. He loves absolutely everyone. Sonic does well with other dogs and cats. He needs some training that his owner did not provide. He is house trained and eager to learn. He is strong and will need a strong arm to work with him on a leash. He is teachable. He listens very well as so wants to please. Everyone that sees him loves him. But he needs the right family or person that can handle a big goofy boy. He will provide years of laughing and the best ever unconditional love.
Sonic is going to have to move to a new kennel soon. No AC, and no blue ball. We are determined to find his home before that move comes down on him. It will be the saddest yet. So, take a few minutes, won’t you, and look at these pictures. Share with others. We know when his person sees them there will be a jump of the heart and they will know. Sonic’s gypsy life can come to an end and he can have his dream come true. It’s time for Sweet Sonic to stop bouncing around like his blue ball and go home.
