Nitrous_ Nitris - Urgent Foster Needed Nitris is a sweet girl that was raise by grandparents who became too ill to look after her. The family looked long and hard to find her a home. She spent nearly a year alone outside in a pin because unsupervised she would get out and kill the neighbors chickens. With the help of other rescues we were able to find potential adopters and get her to Dallas, where she has been spayed and will be treated for her heartworms.
Nitrous
Please Take Me Home with You Unfortunately (probably due to her isolation) she has separation anxiety problems. Nitris gets attached to her family and will howl very loudly when left behind. She needs a good home, packmates and someone willing to work with her. She is a very lovely girl, gets along great with kids and other dogs. She loves to go on walks and would be a wonderful addition to any family willing to give her lots of attention.

elsie Elsie - FOSTER NEEDED I am a very healthy, playful and energetic little girl. I just turned one year old and have my puppy feistiness to prove it. I'm friendly with people and other dogs and LOVE to play chase. I know how to sit for treats but still need training on how to take the treats nicely. I can be protective of my food so you shouldn't feed me next to other dogs. I am microchipped, spayed, up to date on all vaccinations and am an overall healthy young dog. I would make a great addition to a home where I can play and run a lot to work off my puppy exuberance.

Spencer Maya and Spencer - FOSTERS NEEDED These two dogs are the best of friends. They came to Adopt a Husky from a breeder's family who could no longer take care of the large number of dogs at their farm. They both quickly adjusted to inside life with a family and love the interaction with humans that they now receive. They are a pair and must be adopted out together. Spencer is a big, lovable goober who doesn't know he's too big to be a lap dog and Maya is one of the sweetest, most loving animals you'll ever meet.
Maya
Please Take Me Home with You Both love attention and belly rubs and cannot stand being alone. It is obvious that their previous life left them alone and isolated from even contact with other dogs much less humans. For this reason, its important for them not to be separated. Both are all-around good dogs who are intelligent and completely housetrained. If you are looking for a pair, look no further.
Maya

foxy Foxy - FOSTER NEEDED I am a very sweet and loving female dog. I'm about two and a half and am very friendly. I was found wandering the streets of Arlington and found a friend to take me in until AHDI could save me. I love people but am nervous in new situations. Riding in the car is a new adventure for me so getting in and out is a little scary, but once I'm in, I'm a dream - I lay down and take a little nap in front of the air vents. I'm very mild tempered and really just want a family that can dote on me and show me the way of the world. I'm very affectionate and will be a loyal companion for life.

Joy Joy - FOSTER NEEDED I came to AHDI after having a liter of pups in a local shelter. Although it was hard for me to leave my babies, I'm so excited to meet my forever family. Since meeting everyone at AHDI, they all say I'm a joy to be around which is where I get my name. I love people and will do anything to be loved on and petted. I'm about 2 - 3 years old and somewhat smaller for a husky.
Joy
Please Take Me Home with You Since I just recently weened my pups, I'm working on putting back on some of my weight and should be back to my normal weight soon. I am excellent on a leash and will not pull you at all. Do you have dogs treats in your house? If so, I'll be your best friend and a model citizen if you'll just share them with me. If you're looking for someone to share your love and attention with, I'm your girl. I will bring such joy to your life!
Joy

Brook Brook - FOSTER NEEDED - When AHDI first got Brook, she was very afraid of people and probably was 20 pounds underweight. She has filled out nicely. She loves to run and play in water and enjoys swimming in the pool. She likes to splash her legs in the water bowl also. She doesn't bark but howls when she wants to go out or is happy to see you. When she is happy, her tail wags like a propeller on an old airplane.
Brook
Please Take Me Home with You She is an alpha dog and needs to be in a home where she can be the top dog. She is still unsure of people but warms up quickly. She loves to play chase and likes chew toys. Her fur is very soft like a feather pillow and has very pretty light brown eyes. She is also potty trained. Brook is about 2 years old.
Brook

Umi Umi - FOSTER NEEDED Umi was found by a local shelter wandering on the side of a road. He's a larger male dog who is about 3 years old. He is friendly with humans and enjoys playing with other dogs. Umi was at the shelter for over a month, so he's quickly looking for his forever home.

Laker Laker - Are you looking for a stunning Siberian Husky who will barely give your cats a second look? Laker is that dog. Full of Husky woo woo's, Laker is loveable and a picture-perfect Siberian Husky. The AHDI vet was quite surprised to see a purebred show quality Siberian in the shape Laker was in. When AHDI rescued Laker, he was in horrible disarray. He looked like he'd crawled out of the earth having been dead for a few days. There was little to no fur on his tail, whole splotches of fur were missing due to mange, and his attitude was one of mistrust and dislike. Every time I raised my hand while speaking, he flinched. Now most of the hair has filled in, the rat tail is now a husky tail, he has been treated for heartworms, and in their place beauty and a heart full of love reigns. I've pushed Laker through many limits and his progress has been amazing. The flinching is barely ever seen and it's not a rare sight to see him, tummy in the air, yowling happily at his new lot in life.
Laker
Laker gets along excellent with both the fully grown huskies she lives with as well as the 6 week old puppies she has just met. Laker is not crate trained and so far can be trusted when left indoors. One thing she really enjoys is her swimming pool which does come in handy especially after a storm as she loves to play in the mud. During the evening hours, she loves to share the easy chair with you then when it is time for bed you better have room for her as she will follow. Laker is going to make a better that average family member as she is one of the best huskies we have ever fostered.

sammie Sammie - Sammie is a 4 month old, blue-eyed, white with a shade of tan female Husky. Sammie has a personality that can`t be beat. She knows how to use the doggy door and knows that outside is where she goes to take care of her business. The only issue we have found is she is not real happy when she goes for car rides - probably because the only time she has been in a car is when we're heading to the vet.

hobie Hobe - is a 5 to 6 month old male, we will have to say he is a Special Needs as he appears to have issues with his coordination and vision of things close up, some of this could be puppy related. Other than that he is going to make someone a good family member. He can and does use the puppy door to go outside but is still having a few accidents in the house, he just gets busy playing and forgets to go outside but is learning. As for walking on a leash this he is improving and getting better each trip, he is always eager to go. Hobe loves playing with other huskies big or small.
Hobie
Please Take Me Home with You Hobe has 2 dark brown eyes and is copper in color, not red like some of the other huskies posted here. His day starts around 6:30 in the morning and ends late in the day with naps in-between. He is not interested in jumping up on the furniture but when he wants that extra attention he will let you know.
Hobie

Nina Nina - Adoption Pending I am a female husky, around 1 1/2 years old. My foster mom says I am the sweetest cuddle bug you will ever meet. I will curl up next to you in your lap and give you tons of kisses, while you rub my belly! I play well with my husky foster brother. I have been introduced to the kitty, but I don't think I really like him much. A house without kitties would be best for me. I know how to sit, lay down and go for walks, but my foster mom says I need a little more practice on the leash. I am quiet and ride very well in the car.
Nina
Please Take Me Home with You We are working on my house training, I think it's just that I wake up in the morning and am so excited I forget to go before I come in, because I don't have any other accidents any other time. Guess what, I don't jump, dig and don't leap over the baby gates! I am a very good girl! Just nosy and curious. I want a loving home where I can get lots of attention, love and belly rubs, along with some playtime! I will give you all the kisses you could ever want and want to be a part of your family!
Nina

This sweetheart was found running along a busy street in North Dallas. Signs were posted all around the neighborhood in hopes of finding his owners but no one stepped forward to claim this handsome guy. He's a larger husky weighing about 65 pounds but is all teddy bear. He does not have a mean streak in his body. He just wants to be loved.
luke Please Take Me Home with You He currently lives with an older german shephard and gets along well with him although he needs to be with a more active dog and family. He would fit well with a family that enjoys exercise and getting out and about. He tolerates the cats he lives with now although he's not that fond of them. He's as smart as a whip and already has learned commands. He's a talker and also child-friendly. If you're on the go and looking for a companion to keep up with your busy lifestyle, look no further then this darling!

Utah Utah - is a magnificent deep red (almost chocolate) and white, blue eyed neutered husky male. He is about a year and a half old and somewhat bigger than most adult males. Utah will weigh about 65 pounds when fully filled out. He currently lives with four adult male huskies, one female and an Aussie Shepherd. Utah seems to fit the pack well and is playful with the other dogs. He loves to run, run and then run some more. Utah follows commands well so someone has trained him in the past. He is well behaved inside the house and seems to be potty trained. Utah is territorial and does not want to be the bottom dog in the pack. When we first got him he was somewhat aggressive with the other dogs but, the longer we have him the less aggressive he has become as he has adjusted to us and really believes he will be fed, loved and taken care of.
Utah
Please Take Me Home with You Utah very much wants attention from his people and is very loving in return. When we go outside with him he stays with us almost as if he is on a leash. Speaking of leashes, he is quite well mannered on lead and does very nicely on walks in the park. Utah asks to come in and is well behaved indoors with the exception of countersurfing if there is any food out. We are working with him on this but it is difficult to overcome street instincts in a short time. Utah will be a great pet. I am uncertain how he will do with cats but he does well with children and smaller dogs. Just use good judgment and a little common sense due to his size and strength.
Utah

blue Blue - FOSTER NEEDED Blue came to us wondering the streets of our neighborhood. He is a good boy that gets along well with our other two dogs. He loves to play and has constant energy. He is house broken and likes to talk to you with his cute little howl. He is a digger from what we can tell so far so we think he would be best placed with someone that is active and likes to go for walks. He just loves to play.

Vinny Vinny - is a fairly small, compact, blue eyed, red and white Husky male. Due to his smaller size, it is hard to tell how old Vinny is. He is full grown and seems to be about two years old. He weighs 40 pounds but is not afraid to take his place in the pack where he lives. Vinny is really cute to look at, he has startling sapphire blue eyes and 'freckles' on his snout. All he wants is attention and love and he's always first in line when he thinks attention is going to be given out. Vinny loves people time and nearly turns inside out for pets or praise. Working with him is almost like training a puppy for the first time.
Vinny
Please Take Me Home with You Vinny has had a rough life. His former owner took him home, chained him to a tree and except for feeding him pretty much forgot he even existed. This is a really cute dog and deserves a much better life. He's, energetic, loving and very playful. He talks to you and will do the Husky woo woo or even howl if you get him started. He gets along well with other dogs and would do well with another dog to keep him company. Due to his former life, Vinny is not well trained at present. Inside you have to keep an eye on him all the time or he will mark his territory or try pulling things off the counter. Outside, he just doesn't ever slow down. He is small for a Husky but has a huge heart and just wants to be loved. If you want a dog that adores you because he belongs to you, come meet Vinny.
Vinny

Tanner Tanner - Adoption Pending - Even though I'm a very handsome boy, I wound up as a stray on the streets before a local animal shelter picked me up. Adopt a Husky then came to my rescue and put me in their program. I'm about 12 - 18 months old and have a friendly personality. I love humans and will devout all my attention to you as long as you pay attention to me, too. Because I can get bored easily, I need a playmate in my new home and at least a 6 foot fence as I can jump. I'm also microchipped. Please take me home!

Singleton Singleton - This little guy was found by a good samaritan searching for food in a Burger King parking lot. He was very scared and apprehensive at first but eventually began to trust the lady. He's about 4 - 5 years old and is a smaller husky, only weighing about 40 pounds. He still is somewhat timid around people at first but will quickly warm up to you. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys the companionship. He appears to have lived a difficult life outside so he needs a home that will love and cherish him inside with the rest of the family.

KAVIK Kavik - is a beautiful Blue-eyed Black & White neutered male about one year old. He is about 60 pounds and very typical in size for an adult male Husky. Kavik loves people time and will do almost anything to be with you. He prefers to come inside but outside is OK too. Currently we are working with him on his indoor manners. He seems to be house trained but doesn't give much warning or time that he needs to go out. Kavik rhymes with havoc if there is food he wants within reach on tables or counters. He responds to your voice so it's only a matter of time to teach him as he like most Huskies is very bright and willing to please. Its just Huskies are very independent too.

Kavik currently lives with five other Huskies and an Australian Sheepdog. Overall he gets along well but there can be jealousy when food or attention from his people gets added to the mix. I call him a lead dog in training because he is a constant shadow for the obvious lead male in our pack. I think he would do very well as an only dog or in a "pack" as he presently is. I would not be comfortable having Kavik with cats or small dogs. Caution would need to be exercised with very young children because he gets excited and might accidentally get too rough with them. Kavik is a very handsome, loving and playful Husky boy. He will need a family that is firm with his behavior and willing to spend lots of playtime with him. Come meet Kavik today, are you his forever family?

KAVIK

Bird Bird - This female husky is darling. She is around 4 years old, very sweet and shows no aggression. She knows no stranger. She currently lives with a 150 pound mastiff and a rat terrier and gets along well with both of them. She also gets along with cats and horses, again she knows no stranger and just wants to play.
Bird
Please Take Me Home with You She is very smart and loves attention from whoever will give it to her. She's working on her manners but is picking then up very quickly. A larger family with existing animals would make an ideal home for her. She'll also need a home that will love on her continuously. Don't you want to make this sweetheart part of your family?

Brisco Brisco - Adoption Pending I'm a male who's about a year old. I was found as a stray in the Fort Worth area and was taken in by a local shelter. I can be dominant with other dogs so I'll need a home with submissive friends. I love humans though. If you're looking for a loving, handsome husky, I'm your man!

Allison Allison - was found on the streets being harassed by children throwing rocks and sticks at her. A good samaritan saved her from this havoc and AHDI brought her into our program to help her. She is a very well mannered young lady who's about a year old. She's very quiet and calm and gets along well with other dogs and cats. She rides well in the car and does well on a leash. She is also microchipped. She's a smaller husky, weighing only about 40 pounds but with a loving home and consistent meals she will fill out nicely and become the beautiful husky she was meant to be!

Buddy-Raider Buddy - ADOPTION PENDING Buddy / Raider is a great, loving, active dog, who wants to be with his people as much as possible. He will follow you from room to room, sit with you while you read a book or work on the computer, and sleep beside your bed. He loves to go for walks, and will keep you walking fast! He needs some work to stop pulling, as he is very strong and weighs about 80 lbs. Even though he is tall for a husky, he is rather thin, and could put on a few pounds. He is around 2-3 years old, and has had some obedience training, as he knows sit, stay, down and come commands. He likes to ride in the car, and loves to stick his nose out the window.

He prefers to be in the house with his people, and if he gets a walk or some exercise, he is a laid- back, calm dog. We have not used a crate with him, but he is fine to stay in the house when we are gone. He is totally house trained, and will talk (woo, woo, woo) to let you know he needs to go out. If you don’t respond quickly he will give one woof- but he knows when he needs to go out.

Buddy-Raider
Please Take Me Home with You

He lives with a border collie, but is not very interested in playing with her. He would much rather be with people than other dogs. Buddy/ Raider could be an only pet or would be fine with other large dogs or a husky pack. He gets along well with other large dogs, but needs a home where he will never interact with small animals, including cats, small dogs or puppies.

He is not a fence jumper or a digger, but he definitely needs to always be on a leash when out, as he would run if he had the opportunity. He does not seem interested in trying to escape however- he just loves the chance to get out and explore.

Buddy / Raider is a wonderful dog for someone who wants a loyal companion that will be with them everywhere they go.

Buddy-Raider

Ozzi Ozzi - I am approximately 1 year old and very energetic. I love to play with toys, balls and an occasional shoe or slipper if left out where I can reach them. I also love to go on walks and do a good job not to pull on my leash. I am house broken but still could use some additional training on some of my other basic commands. I am crate trained but also love to sleep on a big fluffy bed. I am still a little on the skinny side right now but I love to eat and I haven’t met a treat that I didn’t like. I even like to counter surf, so you are going to have to keep everything put away because I am pretty smart.
Ozzi
Please Take Me Home with You I am currently living with two other huskies and would love a home with other friends that I could play with (but please no cats). I like to give tons of kisses and everyone that I meet is a friend. Please help me find a forever home!
Ozzi

Katja Katja - Special Needs Katja is a super sweet girl in need of a family that will help her recover from a pelvis fracture (she was hit by a car). She's a people VERY friendly dog that needs a family that will be willing to work with her through her recovery. She would do best in a home as an only dog or with an older dog during her recovery time (she's great with other dogs but needs to get her strength completely back before she's playing rough and tumble like she wants to). She does best on non-slip surfaces so if you have hardwood or tile floors at the bottom of the stairs, she'd love to have a rug at the base to help keep her from losing her balance and tweeking her sore backside. Katja has had multiple opinions, X-rays and exams. It's been determined that she does not have to have surgery but will need several more months of calm time to recover and the occasional pain pill to help any soreness when she tweeks her hip area.
Katja
Please Take Me Home with You Don't let Katja's injuries fool you though! She's very active, very loving and always ready to go for a ride, a walk or roll on her back for a belly rub. She's so sweet and just wants to find a family that will shower her with the love and attention that she will give back to you. Her prognosis is very good and it will be no time before she's recovered. She's been spayed, heartworm negative and healthy in all other respects! This is a very sweet girl who has captured the hearts of all of us at AHDI. She's going to be a great addition to any family that will give her the time she needs.
Katja

Mac Mac - Adoption Pending Since Mac is microchipped, the shelter thought for sure he would only be there a few hours until his owners showed up to reclaim him. Hours turned into days and after a week and a half of waiting for the owners, the shelter gave up hope. That's when Adopt a Husky stepped in to save this guy. He's a very sweet, friendly boy who just wants to be loved and given attention. He's about 3 years old and weighs about 55 pounds. He has a very striking mask and a beautiful red coat to compliment his crystal blue eyes. Mac will make a great addition to any home.

Kojak Kojak - I'm a handsome guy who's about 15 months old - don't you just love my freckles? I'm so thankful to be a part of AHDI now because at my previous house, I spent all day alone outside being forced to eat unhealthy dog food. Now, I'm in a loving foster home with a packmate. I'm very playful with lots of energy, so I'll need a brother or sister in my new home who will wrestle with me. I get along well with other dogs so I'm sure I'll get along with yours as well. I like everyone, even strangers. My foster parents have 2 young children and they tell me I do really good with them. Little do they know, I've got experience with children.
Kojak
Please Take Me Home with You I walk well on a leash and because of this, I get to run with my mom while she's cycling. I love being out and about because everyone stops to tell my mom how good looking I am! I can speak the traditional husky language - "woo-woo." Everyone gets a kick out of me when I talk to them! I'm housebroken, so you will not have to worry about me damaging any floors. I also love my chew bones, preferably the real bone type as I go through rawhides pretty quickly. If you have a sprinkler, I'd love to play in it on these hot Texas summer days. I sure hope you'll fall in love with me and make me part of your forever home.
Kojak

Victor Victor Victor was surrendered to Keller, TX animal control. His former owners no longer wanted him. Thus, he was cast out, ready to be put down. Thanks to Husky Rescue, he has survived. Victor is an 85 pound male about 8 years young. He shares his foster home with an 8 year old alpha female Malamute and a 65 pound male Siberian. Victor loves to play with his foster pack. He even sings! Victor loves to jog with the pack, and does very well on a leash. He won his medal completing a 1 ½ mile race at the 9th Annual Hound Dog Hustle in Grapevine, TX on 19 April 2008.
Victor
Please Take Me Home with You Victor is not crate trained. He prefers to be close to his family. He is completely house broken and has learned basic commands. Victor has a sensitive stomach, so it is imperative that his new family slowly change his food, and refrain from any “people" food treats. Victor most likely lived a loner life. However, he has no problem with his adopted pack, and would prefer going to a permanent home with a friend or two. If his forever family wants to take him along, Victor is well behaved and enjoys truck riding.
Victor

Apache2 Apache - Adoption Pending the only way to describe him is "a bundle of pure awesomeness"! Apache is the most spirited pup we've ever known. Though he's a smaller Husky (~50 pounds), he's not short on personality or exhuberance. One of his favorite activities is giving "Patchy hats" where he crawls up on the sofa behind you, rests a paw on each shoulder, then lays his muzzle on top of your head. See? A bundle of awesomeness, and so cute to boot! Apache is house and crate trained and will go into his crate with a simple verbal command. He knows a few basic commands like sit and stay, and does walk well on a leash. He is currently living in a pack environment with 4 other Huskies and sometimes displays some lesser alpha tendancies. His current packs alpha (Lakota) has taken him under his wing and is showing him the ropes, and Apache is learning very well how to be a well behaved member of the pack. He would do best in a home where he had other playmates to help occupy his time and keep him active. He is microchipped (through HomeAgainID) and current on all shots and heartworm preventative. Apache is so full of love and affection and playful energy that any family would be extremely lucky to have him as a new member. Would you like a Patchy hat? He's just the pup to give it to you!
Apache2

Ember Ember - My foster mom thinks I ’m quite a sight, with my shiny Black coat and white chest, a gentleman dressed for a formal occasion, except some one has some humor so I have white (tennis shoes) feet. My blue eyes show to me to be a very intense being but I sure like lots of Love. I am a mature dog the vet thinks about 6 years, my Husky Friends helped me through heartworm treatment and intestinal parasites plus had me neuterd so I am now in good health.
Ember
Please Take Me Home with You I am a real ladies man as I love to please & protect my foster mom, I respond well to her commands and like to lay near her wherever she may be. I prefer to rest in a corner but always have an ear & eye open to jump to her defense when I think it is necessary. My foster dad is another story I like to eat when he feeds me but I will stay with mom even when he calls. If he wants me to go outside I will go to mom and let her put me out or if I do go out for him I shrink from him as I run by. At night I go to my crate to sleep, I also go there if I don’t feel well or think I am in trouble. I accept my foster parents cat, but heaven help any other small critter that invades my territory. I need a home that is run by a Lady that wants a companion & protector. One that is quiet, as loud noises startle me. I also need a place that is calm, as a lot of activity bothers me. When startled my proteive side comes out, my blue eyes turn red and there is no doubt I’m here to protect and will attack before you have a chance to get near my Lady. When the threat is gone I go back to my Lady to get some love as I will always be devoted best friend.
Ember

Anna Anna - is a gentle and graceful oversized lap dog. She is around 4-5 yrs old. Anna's laid back personality makes it easy for her to enjoy evenings at home watching television with you. And, if you offer some brushing or a little tummy rub, she'll lavish you with affection. Her gifts are tons of loyalty and love. She is mellow yet attentive.
Anna
Please Take Me Home with You Anna walks well on a leash and gets excited if offered a good brisk outdoor adventure. She does fine with other dogs. Anna has a cute way of nudging you with her nose when she thinks it's time for attention, and will be the perfect companion for a family wanting a calm, easy to handle, Sweetheart with a capital S!
Anna

Clyde Clyde - I am AHDI's miracle baby! I was found on the streets of Houston and taken to the local animal shelter where I was saved by an Angel only moments before I was to be euthanized. When I got to Dallas, I was told that I had distemper and was given only a 10% chance to live. Given my strong spirit, I did not give up on life and fought through to my recovery and have not looked back.
Clyde
Please Take Me Home with You I am about a year and a half old and weigh about 50 pounds. I currently live with 5 other huskies and love playing with them. I am completely housebroken and enjoy the freedoms that come along with that. I do well on a leash and enjoy my morning rollerblade runs with my foster dad. I also love when my mom and dad get home from work as I always greet them with lots of kisses. I will make a loving companion to any family and home
Clyde

Ivan Ivan - ADOPTION PENDING the Great is a sweet and gentle baby boy who's very handsome with those amazing blue eyes. He's about 18 months old and weighs approximately 55 pounds. He enjoys his people interactions and quickly rolls over to have his belly rubbed. He's a smart dog and does not have the typical husky escape artist syndrome.
Ivan
Please Take Me Home with You Ivan will most likely do best with a brother or sister in his forever home as he's very playful and enjoys playtime with other dogs. Ivan is an amazing dog and would make a great addition to your home!
Ivan

Davey Davey - LOST is a very sweet 10 month old baby boy. A good samaritan found him wandering the streets and took him in attempting to find his parents. After several days of searching with no luck, this good samaritan turned him over to a local shelter. The shelter fell in love with him and took very good care of him until Adopt a Husky could rescue him.
Davey
Please Take Me Home with You He's a big boy weighing about 65 pounds, but he's all love. He's also appears to be housebroken!! If you're interested in adopting or fostering Davey, send in your app today before someone else welcomes him into their home.

Nola Nola - ADOPTION PENDING My name is Nola and we think I'm about 15 months old. My friends tell me that I'm a very sweet and loving girl that will follow you around everywhere. I'm mostly housebroken and am working on improving my crate-training. I can sit and lay down on command and come when I'm called.
Nola
Please Take Me Home with You I love to play with my foster sister which helps burn off some of my energy. I need a sister or brother in my forever home as I just like to play too much. I also am cat friendly and enjoy children. If you love kisses and lots of loving, I'm your girl!
Nola

yankee Yankee - Adopted As you can see from my picture, someone shot me in the face with a shotgun. While I may have a funny looking face, my heart is as big as Texas and if you can believe it - I'm still crazy for people! I'm a white bi-eyed (one blue eye, one brown eye) male looking for a family to play with me, maybe dogs to run with and a mom or dad to take me for a run or walk every now and again.
yankee
Please Take Me Home with You I'm a super sweet boy who is starved for human attention. I like other dogs but prefer people a hundred times more. I give sweet kisses, roll onto my back for a belly rub at every opportunity and have so much love to give. I'm told that I'm smart as a whip since I have figured out how to open the gates at boarding. Because of these MacGuiver skills, I'll need a secure fence with a dog proof latch to it. When I've gotten out of my run though, I go to the first person I can find to give me belly rubs. I'm just looking for a little companionship from my human friends.

Raina Raina - Adopted On the day our family met Raina, we were warned to get our running shoes on. that was not an exaggeration. She is an active small Husky Mix around a year old that loves to run ,jump, wrestle, and play. Raina needs lots of attention either by people or other dogs. She also needs plenty of durable chew toys and bones or rawhide. In the short time Raina has been with us, she has filled out so her ribs no longer show. She loves to eat and is not picky about her food She used to really cower at bath time and has become more co-operative. Puddling in the house has stopped, and she has learned to ignore the family cat. Raina is learning quickly which objects are okay for her to have and which ones are off limits.
Raina
Please Take Me Home with You She sleeps in her crate at night very well, and also does well in our fenced backyard with our other dogs and as of this time has not exhibited tendencies to escape. Raina does bark once in awhile, but is not an annoying barker. Her foster family believes she could be trained to retrieve and possible learn some tricks or work on an obstacle course, because of her intelligence, quickness and agility. If you or your family need some excitement or a little motivation, then Raina could be the dog that will take you on a great adventure.
Raina

Sierra Sierra - Adopted is the sweetest, most gentle Malamute / Husky female I have ever taken care of. If you are looking for a loving dog to be your constant companion, Sierra is the dog for you. She is about three years old and in top condition should weigh about seventy pounds. It was discovered on a Vet visit that Sierra has a thyroid problem and needs to take a thyroid pill every day. Sierra was quite overweight when she came to us but is trimming down nicely and has become quite active and playful with the five Husky males and one female Australian Sheepdog she lives with.
Sierra
Please Take Me Home with You Sierra has excellent house manners and can spend the entire night or day inside without an accident or getting into things she shouldn't. I feel Sierra was very badly treated at some point so she is very slow to warm up and cautious with her trust where people (especially adult males) is concerned. Once she trusts you though she is very loving and affectionate. Sierra is very pretty and has big blue eyes that beg you to just love her for the wonderful dog she is. Sierra will do fine in any setting. She will be wonderful and gentle with children of any age and I think would be fine with cats or other small pets (we have none so it would be an experiment), she is so sweet I can't imagine a problem. Sierra is looking for a special home that will just love her and will take care of her medical needs. A more loving pet would be very hard to find.
Sierra

Paco Paco - Adopted came to Adopt a Husky after wandering the streets of South Dallas. I'm a younger pup, who's about 10 - 12 months old. I'm also on the smaller side for a male husky only weighing about 50 pounds. My foster parents say I'm one of the sweetest huskies they've ever met because I love to give them kisses and snuggle with them whenever I can.
Paco
Please Take Me Home with You I currently live with 5 other huskies and get along great with them. I love, love, love, love to play so I'll need a home with a brother or sister who enjoys husky play as well. I walk every morning with my mom and I'm told I am excellent on a leash. If you like taking me in the car with you while running errands, that's a bonus because I love my car rides. I'm a very well behaved dog and enjoy learning the commands that my parents are teaching me. I'm just an overall happy dog and would love to bring that same joy to your home!
Paco

Gypsy Gypsy - ADOPTED Everyone that comes into contact with me says I am a sweetheart and I've even heard a few people mention they can't say enough good things about me! I love to start licking my human friends as soon as I see them.
Gypsy
Please Take Me Home with You I'm pretty playful, good on a leash, and know some commands. I'm about 2 years old and I'm microchipped.
Gypsy

Bonnie Bonnie - ADOPTED is one of the sweetest huskies you'll ever meet. She is a doll and just loves to love you. She's about a year-and-a-half old and is on the smaller size for a husky, only weighing about 40 pounds. She is a petite little princess who will shower you with kisses whenever you want them.
Bonnie
Please Take Me Home with You She shares her home with 5 other huskies now and does well with them but would probably prefer to be the only dog or with a smaller pack. She is a model citizen on a leash and does wonderful during car rides. She's housebroken and does very well with free reign of the house. If you're looking for an easy-going, laid-back husky, this little angel is your girl.
Bonnie

Winston Winston - ADOPTED - I'm a beautiful 2 year old male who likes to talk. My previous owners turned me into the local shelter for burying the neighbors chickens. Although I did not kill them and was burying them alive, I probably would not do well in a home with smaller animals or on a farm. Besides it wasn't my fault, those chickens just looked sooooooo goooood and I thought they were having fun playing with me! I will need a home with another friend since I like to play. With my story and devilish good looks, how can you pass me up?
Winston

Sabre Sabre - ADOPTED Sabre came to us via a neighbor who was preparing to take him to a local kennel as she was no longer able to care for him. He's a beautiful, blue-eyed boy who talks up a storm. His last weigh in at the vet found him a little over sixty pounds. The vet thinks he is between five and six years old. He is heartworm free, takes meds monthly and up to date on all shots. He's a furry guy with long, fine carmel and white fur. He's got the cutest freckles on his white nose and lays with crossed paws like a pristine porcelain statue. He does fine around dogs of all sizes as he's been living with two other male Sibs and a ten pound Chihuahua but, he is a special needs dog.
Sabre
Please Take Me Home with You While it's not apparent from his beauty, we believe that Sabre is somewhat challenged mentally and would do best with more one on one attention rather than sharing with other dogs. It is unknown how he reacts around cats but, if it's anything like squirrels or birds he see's on his daily walks you might think twice. When he came to us he was somewhat food aggressive but, he does well now without incident. He's very affectionate and loves to give wet, sloppy kisses. For baby carrots, he will sit. He loves walks but, he dances a lot so you must hold on tight as he will run if given the opportunity. He enjoys interacting with others at our local dog park and is accustomed to sleeping in his kennel at night and when his humans are away at work. Sabre's heart is as big as the Texas sky and he is so deserving of a forever home.

Enya Enya - Adopted is a very calm and quiet girl about 5 years old. She gets along fine with her foster sister but does not play much with her. She is housebroken and will go scratch at the door when she wants to go out. She does not like to be crated but will go in on her own when asked and is getting comfortable with it now.
Enya
Please Take Me Home with You She is not very active. She prefers to lay in the corner and hang out with her foster dad. Enya would do well as an only or with others. If you are looking for a calm, quiet and realxed companion Enya is the one.
Enya

Maverick Maverick - Adopted is a friendly, happy boy with an energetic personality. He loves to play, romp, and run. He is house-trained, and has never had any "accidents" in the house; but he makes it very obvious that he prefers to be outdoors. He already knows how to "sit" and "shake hands" (he is a Lefty); and he does not pull on the leash when walking. He is a 'people' dog, and will follow you right around and stay by your side. He loves to talk!
Maverick
Please Take Me Home with You Maverick is a very love-y dog, and will lay down next to you and just cuddle. He shares easily, and gets along great with our other husky. He used to be afraid to go up and down stairs, but our other husky taught him how, and he was a quick learner. He is very smart. He loves treats, and if he sees that you have one in your hand, he will quickly sit down and put his paw up. Maverick started out quite under-weight when he was rescued, but he has since put on a few pounds, and he is a nice-sized boy. And yes, just as you can see in the pictures, he is always smiling.
Maverick

Galina Galina - Adopted I'm an absolute sweetheart who loves to cuddle with my foster parents. I was a tiny little girl when I got here but I'm starting to put on some much needed weight. I'm about 45 pounds now. I'm somewhere between 1 and 2 years old and have the cutest little freckles on my face. I was a little skittish at first but I'm learning that I don't need to be.
Galina
Please Take Me Home with You I get along great with my foster brother and sister and think I'd like a home with other dogs. I'm good on a leash - my foster mom takes me out every night for a run and I love it! I'm not completely house trained yet but we're working on that. I'm crate trained and don't mind staying in there when my foster parents are gone. I like to lay around most of the time but I have plenty of energy to play with my foster siblings. I love to give kisses and I talk when I want something. All I ask for is a home with lots of love, I have tons to give!
Galina

Titan Titan - Adopted Did someone say supersize me? Titan is a big playful puppy about 1½ to two years old. When he fills out he will probably weigh around 80 pounds. Titan is mostly white but has reddish gray tips almost like a Siamese cat on his back, tail ears and chest. Titan has a very wolflike appearance with a long rough coat. He is very gentle and gets along well with both male and female dogs. We do not know how he will respond to cats. He is very smart and is learning commands well. We are working on leash training and he responds well because he enjoys being with people and wants praise.
Titan
Please Take Me Home with You He is house trained for bathroom needs but is still puppy like and needs to be watched when inside so he doesn’t get into trouble or your dinner on your counter. He is able to spend the night inside at your bedside and once settled is quiet and will stay until morning. With a little time and training he will do just fine. Titan loves people and will do well with children. This is a really good dog that needs a home and family to call his own.
