Dog Days of Summer
June 1st, 2002
This years Denton Main Street event turned out to be a wonderful
summer-like day to have Dog Days of Summer. We had lots of green grass and magnificent
100 year old trees to give all the people and dogs plenty of cooling shade throughout this charming common.
There were contests for every size, shape and breed of dog you could imagine, from the "Heinz 57" Dog Show & Contest to the Dog Singing Contest. Even some entertainment put on by the human species, Stupid Human Tricks.
We had an outstanding turnout of people coming by to visit us and our
team. All day long we had visitors stopping by with huskies that were old friends of Adopt a Husky of Dallas at one time or another.
We would like to thank all of the people who helped us with donations to
make it possible for us to save these loving animals from doom.
From your donations, you let us give them a second chance and make it possible for another husky to live a happy life.
Fargo, one of our Adopt a Husky alumni, came by with his family and enjoyed a picnic lunch and a cool drink of water on the cool grass.
This is one cool pup who knows how to handle the Dog Days of Summer.
