Polar and Nisha (aka Whitney)

Hello to everyone at Adopt a Husky and thanks for taking care of us until we could find a place to call our own. We now live in a house with two crazy humans and more importantly a huge backyard with trees and squirrels (they are the best). Polar has become very good at running laps in the backyard while Whitney watches his fanatical leaps and turns and sits by in awe of his speed. We have begun our obedience training, learning how to heal, sit and stay, although Polar is not fond of staying still for too long. We have so much fun on our training walks and get to see everyone in the neighborhood. We also have friends on each side of our yard and we run up and down the fence with them and sometimes just hang out. Finally we have our new little sister, Keema, a 6 month old Siberian who has more energy than she know what to do with and loves to use that energy playing with us. Keep up the good work taking care of all our fellow Huskys who need forever homes.

Thanks
Polar and Nisha

From the human part of this pack, thanks to Kate and Duggan for Polar as he is the best.

Tasha

We adopted Tasha in May 2001. She came to us as a foster (owner surrender) and after hearing about her previous homes, both of which were abusive, we couldn't bear to part with her. I still remember when Peggy dropped her off at our house, how sad she was that Peggy was leaving without her. She lay down under the dining room table and didn't want to come out…. She was so frightened. Well, now she's 13 years old and a little slower than she used to be, but still likes to play occasionally with our Dachshund still LOVES to go on a walk. She is the undisputed Alpha Dog in our house. She is very young at heart even at the ripe old "people" age of 91! She has been a real blessing to our home and we love her like crazy. She's a very special dog and we are so lucky to have her. We like to think she's been lucky to have us, too.

Trevor

Hello! We first adopted Miss Rav’n Maven in October and then we ran across Shadow (ya’ll know him as Trevor) on the website. Well, my husband took Maven to the dog park the next day and ran into Shadow’s foster parents and he just fell in love. So, we took Shadow in and decided to foster him until we knew how he would get along with Maven (really, it was to see if Maven would tolerate having someone else around). The first couple weeks it was touch and go with Maven, but of course we fell in love with him right away. Now, the two are inseparable and they are great together. It was a little difficult to get use to two huskies in our household, but we did manage to pull it off. Shadow is completely opposite from Maven. He is really laid back and really wants to just hang out and get some loving. He is the most even tempered boy and he is a delight to have around the house. We say that he has an old soul and you can just see it in his eyes. They both enjoy going for walks together and playing rough in the backyard. Shadow is just another blessing that we have and we thank Adopt A Husky for saving him and letting us take care of him for the rest of his life. We are always amazed at the personalities of both of them and can’t even imagine what it was like when we just had Maven. Shadow is a welcome addition to our family and we just couldn’t have picked a better dog. Thank you again to Adopt A Husky for allowing us to care for Shadow. We love him!

Sincerely,

Jenny, Stephen, Joey, Maven, and Shadow Brown
